Adelina is a member of CPA Australia and has completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Newcastle, majoring in financial accounting.

With over eight years’ experience in public practice accounting Adelina has worked with clients including small family businesses, large companies and self-managed superannuation funds spanning a variety of industries. Through this experience she has developed a strong passion for understanding the needs of her clients and recognises that it’s not just about the books, it’s also about the business.

Adelina enjoys developing effective relationships with clients to build outcomes tailored to their needs. After all, a ‘one size fits all’ approach to business is not the solution.

Adelina’s personal philosophy is centered on establishing an understanding of the people behind businesses. By coupling this understanding with timely communication and a proactive approach, she is able to provide business owners with quality information they need to make the important decisions that foster business growth.


Nicola Shelley

Business Adviser

Nicola has been working in the accounting industry since 2000. She is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Newcastle.

Her professional career includes two years’ experience in the area of Business Recovery and Insolvency, and three years’ experience with a government agency. She also has experience in the auditing of self-managed superannuation funds.

Nicola believes in providing a valuable service to clients, which extends beyond preparing financial statements and tax returns. Client service is more than just solving problems – it is an opportunity to exceed expectations while delivering relevant, timely and high quality information.

The client experience should encompass the ability to talk to knowledgeable people and access to useful information to enable the client to make well informed decisions so that they may achieve their goals whether it be financial or about simplifying their current business practices.


Maryanne Ruddy

Office Manager

Maryanne was born in the Newcastle area and has been working in the accounting profession for over 27 years and has interacted and been directly involved with a lot of businesses during that time.

Maryanne is the backbone of VBD and is responsible for the administrative management of the business including accounts receivable and accounts payable. She is also an expert in all ASIC documentation attending not only to the needs of the business but also to those of the clients.

This means is that if you have any issues you want solved when dealing with the business talk to Maryanne her results speak for themselves.

Maryanne’s philosophy is there is no problem that can not be solved.


Tracey Wink


Tracey enjoys the regular contact she has with VBD’s clients and will be the first person you speak to when you come to our office.

Tracey is passionate about providing superior customer service with a positive attitude. She aims to provide our clients with an enjoyable experience.
